The Elan Awards recognize excellence in residential design, sales, marketing and merchandising and are sponsored by the Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) of Los Angeles/Ventura. The SMC will celebrate all Elan winners October 7 during a gala evening at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Already a Grand Award winner in the 2006 Gold Nugget Awards, Encantada is vying for Community of the Year in Elan because of its point totals in multiple categories. Elan judges recognized these luxury homes for the architectural design of Plans Two and Three; for model complex landscape design; for Plan Three’s model interior merchandising; for community brochure and for signage.
“Southern California homebuyers demand sophisticated, lifestyle-based homes, and we are very proud to be honored for our work in providing homes and communities that satisfy these expectations,” said Bob Clauser, senior vice president of marketing for Pardee Homes.
Sharing the spotlight with Encantada is Pardee Homes’ Segovia, a move-up neighborhood that is also in the popular master-planned community of Ladera Ranch. All three models earned finalist honors for the design of a home 3,001 to 4,000 square feet; Segovia’s Plan Two was additionally noted for its model home interior merchandising. Like Encantada, Segovia also earned top honors in the 2006 Gold Nugget Awards.
Rounding out Pardee Homes’ most recent Elan honors was Portico, noted by Elan judges for sustainable design. Situated in Pardee Homes’ master-planned community of Pacific Highlands Ranch, Portico also earned architectural honors in the 2006 Gold Nugget Awards and Best In American Living Awards.
“We are truly gratified to be applauded by such diverse judging panels,” said Joyce Mason, vice president of marketing for Pardee Homes. “We are also proud to share these honors with the creative and highly esteemed design professionals who serve our new home teams so superbly.”
Co-finalists with Pardee Homes include JZMK Architects (Segovia), Scheurer Architects (Encantada) and Bassenian/Lagoni Architects (Portico) for product design; The Collaborative West for landscape design; Color Design Art for interior merchandising; and Allan Zukor Advertising Design for advertising, brochure and signage design.
Based in Los Angeles, Pardee Homes maintains regional operations in Corona, Irvine, Sacramento, San Diego, Valencia and Las Vegas. New home choices address a spectrum of households, and reflect the company’s emphasis on creating homes “for the way you want to live,” in master-planned communities that also include schools, parks and preserved open space.
Pardee Homes and its personnel devote time and resources to education and to many youth and community service organizations. Special emphasis is on housing-related initiatives, such as HomeAid America, a national, non-profit organization devoted to quality housing for the temporarily homeless. Pardee Homes has earned BUILDER magazine’s designation of “America’s Best Builder” and Reed Business Publications has cited it as one of the industry’s “Great Workplaces.”
