Buyers Praise Homes & Process at Foxfield in Yorba Linda

2006-08-12

Pardee Homes’ Foxfield at Vista Del Verde in Yorba Linda is drawing family buyers who appreciate a quality new home—and quality in the home buying process, reports Terry Morga, Pardee Homes’ regional director of sales. “At Foxfield, Pardee Homes offers its signature values of stylish new home design and master-planned community location,” said Morga. “Foxfield buyers tell us that with Polly Barnes and Deanna Rankin, sales counselors at Foxfield, they also get the extra value a superior sales team brings to their purchase process, and we are delighted to hear it!”

Priced from the low $1 millions, Foxfield is a neighborhood of detached homes that are situated on generously proportioned homesites, with three two-story floor plans that range from approximately 2,905 to 3,774 square feet of living space.

“Polly and Deanna have something you can’t teach, something innate; they truly care about us,” said Raj Qsar, who with his wife Lisa, sought a convenient location and fresh design when the family moved from Brea to Vista Del Verde. Raj, Lisa and their toddler daughter have made Foxfield home since June.

“Maybe because I am a sales professional, too, I am really aware of the good and bad. Polly and Deanna are definitely the good,” said Raj, whose sales career includes pharmaceuticals and real estate. “They never patronized. They explained everything clearly and they helped make our entire experience much better than it was when we bought our first home.”

To create such confidence and satisfaction, the Polly Barnes-Deanna Rankin sales team at Foxfield offers more than 25 years of combined experience in new home sales and nearly five years as a team. “We love working together and I think our buyers realize this from the start,” said Polly, a UCLA graduate who studied in Italy for a year and who counts languages among her special interests. A senior sales representative since 1996, Polly has been part of the Pardee Homes team for nearly four years.

Like her colleague, Deanna Rankin brings an educated perspective to her work. She earned a certificate in Environmental and Interior Design from the University of California at Irvine, and holds a California Real Estate License. Her professional background encompasses sales, re-sales and model home interior design. She first worked with Pardee Homes in 1994 at Ravenna in Irvine, where she earned a Top Salesperson Award.

Deanna and Polly recently joined their new home sales colleagues in the Pardee Homes Orange County region, completing the professional training course known as “Certified New Home Sales Professional,” and earning the valued CSP designation. “This excellent course has given both of us a broader understanding of the entire home building process,” said Deanna. “It has helped maximize our skills, and we believe this will result in even better service to our buyers here at Foxfield.”

That service already reflects the duo’s strong cooperative dynamic. Explains Polly, “We work really well in tandem, which translates to responsiveness for our buyers. If you start with me and come in on one of my days off, you won’t have to start over. Deanna will be here, ready and able to assist you because the two of us communicate well, and that makes life easier for our buyers.”

Lisa Qsar’s brother, Ryan Butler, agrees. Ryan and his wife Heather followed closely behind the Qsar family in choosing a Foxfield home; they are preparing to move from Placentia this fall with their infant son. “We’re excited about the entire experience and really eager to make the move,” said Ryan, who is in sales and based in Orange County. “Polly and Deanna have been a pleasure to deal with and they have made the whole process as smooth as possible; they are just all around good people and it’s made a big difference to Heather and me.”

For good reason, the Qsars and the Butlers are sincerely pleased with their new homes. Foxfield’s designs offer up to six bedrooms and five baths and all homes include three-bay garages; each home features a plan alternate and diverse layout options. Distinctive Spanish, Colonial Monterey and Traditional architectural styling enhances the Foxfield neighborhood street scene.

“Plan One is perfect for us; the Great Room layout especially is terrific,” commented Raj. “This home suits our style of entertaining and our stage of life.”

The Plan Three-X was top pick for the Butler family. “We’re moving to a more spacious home with this design, and to one with modern style,” Ryan said. “We are also really happy about being so close to a park; this is ideal for a family with young children.”

Like all Pardee Homes, Foxfield’s are certified ENERGYSTAR® homes, with measures that greatly exceed the federal Model Energy Code. At Pardee, these measures include spectrally selective glass, which enhances indoor comfort and reduces fade to interior fabrics, woods and painted surfaces.

“Our ENERGYSTAR® homes save homebuyers significantly on energy costs, improve home comfort and help the environment,” said Joyce Mason, vice president of marketing for Pardee Homes.

Ryan agrees, and added that he and Heather supplemented their included ENERGYSTAR® features with the option of a radiant barrier for their new home. “ENERGYSTAR® is a plus and the radiant barrier should prove particularly helpful during Yorba Linda’s hotter days,” said Ryan.

Polly and Deanna emphasized that although the majority of homes at Foxfield are sold, they can still present prospective buyers with a choice selection of new homes, favorably located within the elevated parcel that defines the Foxfield neighborhood. “We have a handful of new homes oriented to the park and to city lights,” said Polly. “Available homes also feature some exceptional interior locations, including those on cul-de-sacs.”

In addition to the style and functional advantages of the Foxfield designs, the neighborhood offers convenience to the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and South Orange County areas. “The location is hard to beat, whether you are a busy commuter or an at-home parent who appreciates finding quality schools and recreation close by,” said Deanna. “And don’t forget that Foxfield buyers get these advantages without a homeowners association fee or Mello Roos assessment.”

Adjacent to Chino Hills State Park and Carbon Canyon Regional Park, Vista Del Verde is an upscale golf course community of four planned villages in approximately 843 acres. Neighborhood parks, walking and equestrian trails and dedicated open space highlight the new community. The Black Gold Golf Club, Yorba Linda’s first public course, features an 18-hole championship design.

Nearby are the Brea Mall, the Yorba Linda Public Library, Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland. Within easy driving distances are local beaches and Big Bear. Freeway proximities include the Riverside 91, the Orange 57 and the Eastern Transportation Corridor.

Foxfield models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays, when the hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The telephone number is 714-777-7890. To reach the models from North 57 (Orange) Freeway, exit at Imperial Highway. Turn right and proceed three miles to Bastanchury Road. Turn left and continue to Lakeview Avenue. Turn left on Lakeview and proceed to the Vista Del Verde information center. From the 91 Freeway East or West, exit at Lakeview and continue approximately four miles north to the four-way stop at Lakeview and Bastanchury. Turn right onto Bastanchury and take the first left onto Krueger Street and then the first left onto Oaklawn Lane to the Foxfield models.

Vista Del Verde is being developed jointly by Toll Brothers and Aera Energy. Aera Energy, one of California’s largest energy companies and a major landowner, selected Toll Brothers as a development partner for its experience as the nation's leading builder of luxury homes. Toll Brothers is the only public homebuilder to win all three of the industry’s highest honors: America’s Best Builder, the National Housing Quality Award and National Builder of the Year. Toll Brothers recently ranked among Forbes magazine’s “Platinum 400” list of the best big companies in America. Call 714-701-0446; visit www.vistadelverde.com.
