ZEH is a program developed by the U.S. Department of Energy and features technologies that help reduce an energy bill by 50% or more.
The SAM Award for Energy Efficiency is based on building orientation, architectural features, envelope insulation, penetration, HVAC duct work, lighting and advanced technologies, as well as the marketing and advertising of the energy efficiency of the project. In addition, the winner must exceed their overall Title 24 building energy standards by a minimum of 10%.
