Los Angeles, September 25, 2009 --Pardee Homes has earned 18 finalist honors in the 2009 SoCal Awards program, the official awards competition of Sales and Marketing Councils throughout Southern California, which includes eight total honors for Manzanita Trail in north San Diego County.  “As always, Pardee Homes demonstrates excellence in all elements of bringing new homes to its markets,” said Lisa Parrish, judging chairman of the SoCal Awards. “I join the judges in congratulating this company on a job well done!”

Pardee Homes’ earned finalist nods for Community of the Year for new home communities in San Diego, Los Angeles and Ventura counties: Oak Crest at Fair Oaks Ranch in Santa Clarita as Detached Community; Waverly Place in Moorpark Highlands in Moorpark, as Attached Suburban Community; and Manzanita Trail at Pacific Highlands Ranch in San Diego, as Detached Community. Additionally, Manzanita Trail is a finalist for the coveted Sustainable Community of the Year title, honoring its green and sustainable design, construction and land use.

Manzanita Trail earned eight honors, including architectural design; model complex landscape design; interior merchandising; sales office design; and print advertisement. Oak Crest is a finalist for two of its flex spaces, both noted for unique space design. Waverly Place earned finalist kudos for both home and landscape design.

Pardee Homes was also noted for its company-wide LivingSmart® program of green and sustainable standards and options, in the Special Promotion category. Also a finalist is the company’s “Open Letter” ad campaign. Canyon Hills at Lake Elsinore and Bridle Ridge at Carmel Country Highlands, are finalists for interactive design of their sales centers.

The SoCal Awards program honors superior achievement in sales, marketing and merchandising excellence and the Sales & Marketing Councils it represents are part of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Inc. Judges represent a cross section of homebuilding’s professional disciplines, and they toured all eligible communities.  Finalists and grand winners will be celebrated October 10 at the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland.
