Within Moorpark Highlands, a 22-acre site has been reserved for a future school, continuing the tradition of quality education that has been a key factor in attracting new residents to Moorpark in recent years. Most recently, Campus Canyon Elementary School was honored as a California Distinguished School for being one of the state’s most exemplary and inspiring public schools for 2006. Moorpark High School, also recognized for strong academics, won the National Academic Decathlon in 1999 and continues to pride itself on high academic achievement. Mesa Verde Middle School has also been identified by the Moorpark Unified School District for community residents.
