Because good schools are a vital part of every community, Pardee Homes has made education a central part of its planning for Pacific Highlands Ranch. Elementary-age children attend schools in the Solana Beach School District, such as Carmel Creek Elementary and Solana Pacific Elementary. The construction of a new K-6 school, Solana Ranch Elementary located on Pacific Highlands Ranch Parkway, is underway with a projected opening for the 2014-15 school year. Solana Beach School District schools consistently rank at or near the top in district, county and state accountability measures and have received numerous awards.

Older students attend schools in the San Dieguito Union High School District, such as Carmel Valley Middle School, Torrey Pines High School or Canyon Crest High Academy. The award-winning San Dieguito Union High School District is one of the nation’s finest, offering a wealth of academic and extracurricular opportunities in which its students can engage and excel.

Additionally, there are several noted private schools in the immediate area, such as Cathedral Catholic High School and the San Diego Jewish Academy.
