Rocky Cochran - Pardee VP Construction Operations

Rocky Cochran, vice president of construction operations for Pardee Homes in Southern Nevada, was recently installed as president of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association. “It is a great honor for me to lead the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association during a time of recovery and rebuilding for our industry,” said Rocky.

Rocky joined Pardee Homes more than 20 years ago as an assistant superintendent during the initial development of the Eldorado master-planned community in North Las Vegas. A third-generation homebuilder, he became involved with the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association in 1988 and has been an active member.

The video includes well-wishes from industry colleagues, as well as some comments from Rocky:

Rocky has served as chairman of the association’s Legislative Committee and Community Planning and Infrastructure Committee. Also, he is a member of the Membership Marketing Committee and Codes Committee. Last year, the association named him “Builder Member of the Year” for his outstanding service and involvement.

In 2000, Rocky earned the prestigious industry designation of Certified Graduate Builder from the National Association of Home Builders. NAHB named him “Home Builder Safety Professional of the Year” in 2009.

“For the first time, Las Vegas has joined the cities on the National Association of Home Builders/First American Improving Markets Index, which identifies metro areas that have shown improvement since the downturn in housing permits, employment and housing prices for at least six consecutive months,” said Rocky. “The market is improving rapidly, and we are confident that the recovery will continue as the year goes on.”
