Discovering Skycrest at Sundance was a game-changer for the Arnett family. While on the hunt for a smaller home, the Arnetts toured Skycrest, where they saw the exclusive GenSmart Suite™, designed for multi-generational living situations. It was there that something clicked. Parents/grandparents, Barry and Cindy Overholt have been an integral part in raising the two Arnett children, especially 12-year old Timothy with special needs. Instead of constantly traveling back and forth between their homes, the GenSmart Suite would allow Barry and Cindy to be closer than ever. An idea the Arnetts hadn’t even considered until they visited the beautiful and versatile homes at Skycrest.

The Arnetts love the close-by help, while grandparents Barry and Cindy love being so close to their grandchildren while also maintaining their own privacy. “It’s wonderful to say goodnight every night to our grandchildren and then close the door to our own space. There is enough room for all six of us and we love it,” said Cindy.

The open living space of their Skycrest Plan 3 has been one of the family’s favorite features. The great room and kitchen open up and even extend seamlessly to the covered outdoor room, giving the family a sense of togetherness and making multi-tasking easy.

All-in-all, the Arnetts couldn’t have found a more perfect solution to their living situation. “We know that the GenSmart Suite is great fit now and in the future, whether we use it for our parents, as a home for Timothy as he gets older, or even live-in help,” said Sheri.

If the solution to your family’s unique living situation might be a GenSmart Suite, be sure to explore the communities that offer this exclusive Pardee Homes feature.
